| Abstract | With the emergence of the new ISO 14001 international environmental management standard, achieving ISO 9000 will no longer be the end of the journey. More and more organizations will implement this new standard to assure interested parties that an appropriate management system is in place to support environmental protection in balance with socio-economic needs. The article looks at the major features of ISO 14001 which distinguish it from the well-known ISO 9001. |
