| Abstract | The introduction of the Student Health Service (SHS) to replace th School Medical Service is based on the recommendation of the Report of the Working Party on Primary Health Care published in 1990. An integrated health service for students with emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention and continuity of care was recommended. The service was implemented in two phases: phase I in September 95 to cover primary school children and phase II in September 96 to include secondary school students. |
