| Abstract | In veiw of the relaxation of the restriction on the number of branch offices that a member could operate, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong had organized two seminars for its members on 'Application Procedures, Management and Supervision of Branch Offices' in July 1997 to assist them in understanding the procedures of application for registration of branch office and the importance of internal control. The article aims to give some brief notes on the background and contents of the relaxation of the Rules of the Exchange. The management and supervision of branch offices would also be discussed and some of the questions and answers raised during the seminars are appended to the article. |
