Abstract | Hongkong International Terminal (HIT)'s goal is to stay ahead of its clients' requirements. Hong Kong's unique constraints challenge the continued growth in container traffic through its ports. However, the company's 3P Project, 'The Productivity Plus Programme', won the 1997 ComputerWorld Smithsonian Award for innovation in Transport, and increased HIT's productivity by 30 per cent. |
