| Abstract | The article describes the essence of environmental dance, an art form in vogue of late, which takes the environment as the choros. In Hong Kong, environmental dance has been pioneered by Dancing City. Their performance in March 1996 in the HKU (The University of Hong Kong) campus was the fourth and last of the series and was co-presented with the University of Hong Kong Foundation for Educational Development and Research. Having credited the performances as they deserved, the author suggests the group consider the idea of detachment and the third sense of the word choros, which means, besides dance and dancing place, also the group that dances. |
