| Abstract | Frequency-division (FDMA), time-division (TDMA) and code-division (CDMA) are the three common methods of multiple access used in mobile communications. CDMA technology is the last to have been developed and applied to cellular mobile communications on the basis of the American IS-95 800 MHz CDMA system. It was tried out in 800 MHz CDMA in 1996 in Guangdong Province, Beijing, Shanghai and Xian. This article provides an account of the tryout and future development of CDMA in Guangdong Province. |
