| Abstract | This article stresses the importance of developing software for China, which incorporates Chinese linguistic and cultural aspects lacking in many applications designed in the West. Vincent Lum and Kam-Fai Wong from the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management of the Chinese University of Hong Kong set forth criteria that may be used to identify areas for software development which should be supported in order to make information technology more accessible to China's mass population. |
