| Abstract | The Chinese Books Cyberstore (CBC) was incorporated at the end of 1996 and officially opened for business on June 17, 1997. It aims to become the leading on-line bookstore for Chinese language books and to serve Chinese readers throughout the world. In this paper, Gabriel Yu from the CBC attempts to explain the strategic considerations and share with the readers some of the business and technology issues that it faces as a provider of goods in the field of electronic commerce. |
