| Abstract | By restoring sovereignty over the territory of Hong Kong, after 155 years of British colonial rule, China has done much more than wash away the old humiliation of iniquitous treaties: it has also got hold of a small island which has managed to accumulate fabulous wealth in record time, and of one of the most dynamic economies in the world. This article features the benefits of the handover to China. |
