| Abstract | The safety record of the Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway has been excellent in the 15 years before 1997 without a single fatality directly attributable to its operations. In 1994 a Risk Control System, based on an interactive computer Hazard Registration System (HRS) was established for the operational railway. The system was designed to assess, record and continuously monitor the risk of hazards identified on the operational railway. |
