| Abstract | Recent developments in the Internet, Hong Kong's telecomms infrastructure, and other technologies mean that 1997 will see, for the first time, the introduction of true video-centric, on-line, interactive applications with a mass-market appeal. Hong Kong will be one of the first places in the world to experience true convergence between the computer and telecommunication technologies; at the same time, people shall experience convergence between Internet and broadband networks and applications. |
