AbstractA MasterCard Asian Ideals survey of 12 countries in Asia Pacific, including Australia and New Zealand, homed in on middle and upper-income groups and looked at respondents' views on a number of issues - for example the best country to live in, personal investment in real estate and shopping. It also looked at how respondents felt about their current quality of life and future earning power. The survey reveals that fears that Hong Kong is no longer a shoppers' paradise are ungrounded, and tourists still regard the territory as the shopping and food capital of Asia.
