AbstractItaly is getting serious when it comes to selling wine in Asia. Not only has there been a joint venture in Tianjin making a soft red - Marco Polo, appropriately enough, is the brand name - but large Chinese corporations have been actively approaching Italy's official wine body, Enoteca Italiana in Sienna, seeking joint-venture partners to plant sangiovese grapes and make quality wines.
