Part of the plans includes the establishment on 28 October 1996 of the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, the formation of the China Shipping (Group) Company (CSCO), to be based in Shanghai, and the 15 billion Renminbi investment on the improvement of Shanghai's port conditions and building of additional container berths at Wai Gao Qiao. |
