Article TitleHong Kong's savings and investment.
Is Part OfHong Kong economic report ; Apr/May 1997, p.1-3, illus.
AbstractIt is noticeable that Hong Kong's savings rate has declined steadily in recent years - perhaps attributable to modest wage growth and increased consumption by the population - while the territory's investment is expected to remain strong due to its continuous upgrading in infrastructure. Such developments imply that Hong Kong will rely more on overseas funds for its future economic expansion.
