| Abstract | With the rapid advance in the processing power of the personal computer, most new models now come equipped with the hardware required to play full-motion video. Video CD, an alternative to VHS or laser disk, is widely available and enables PCs to be used as "mini-theatres" to play Hollywood blockbusters or karaoke. For older machines not equipped with dedicated video chipsets, an alternative means of running Video CD is available through software. |
