AbstractHong Kong's advertising expenditure growth for 1996 jumped to 12.4 per cent growth recorded in 1995. The grand total for all categories, across all media, in 1996 is 16.9 million Hong Kong dollars (2.1 billion US dollars). The biggest sector increase came in finance, investment and banking, which rose by over 36 per cent. Three of the top 10 brands across all media were the Hongkong Bank, Hang Seng Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.
