Abstract | The centuries-old farm market town of Kam Tin, centre of environmental outrage on the northwest plains of Hongkong's New Territories, may be next logical site for hotel development in the city-state. A plan drawn up by government planners and endorsed with enthusiasm by town planners calls for the dusty collection of badly-planned villages to be transformed into a new urban hub for business and commercial use. If approved, it is certain several three and four-class properties will be needed, insiders say. |
