| Abstract | Costs of new sophisticated equipment are steep and the volume for testing is now yet anywhere high enough to offset the cost. So on one hand, manufacturers are being forced to get their equipment tested to meet market standards set by European importers, and on the other, high costs irk makers as they eat into margins and consequently make them less price competitive. |
