| Abstract | Over the long term, China is considered to be the most important Asian market for growth potential by retailers and suppliers of EPoS/EFTPoS (Electonic Point of Sale/Electronic Fund Transfer at Point of Sale) equipment. The number of EPoS installations has risen from 1,000 in 1992 to 10,000 in 1996, and is estimated to reach 70,000 by 2001. |
