| Abstract | In this article, American design firms in Hong Kong tell the author it was the lure of the China market that originally brought them to Asia, and more specifically to Hong Kong, the gateway to the mainland. Ironically, most will admit that work there has either been limited, or a long time in coming. Today these companies are well established, with work throughout Asia Pacific, but on one thing they are adamant, they have every intention of staying in the Territory. Representatives from three design firms, namely Brennan Beer Gorman Architects Limited (BBG), HOK International and designphase, express their feelings about conducting business in Hong Kong. |
