| Abstract | In this article, the Director of Environmental Protection, Rob Law, talks about their hopes and challenges for the Year of Ox. He is optimistic that environmental standards will remain high and that Hong Kong will treat environmental issues with the same resolve after the change of sovereignty in 1997. Besides, the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) hopes to make some in-roads in that regard and Chairman Ronnie Wong said they would concentrate on projects that got people more involved in environmental protection in 1997. |
