| Abstract | This article reports on the result of a survey carried out during 1995 by Dr Cheung Siu Yin of Hong Kong Baptist University consisting of two sessions. The first session was for gathering demographic data and was based on the report on public perception toward volunteering - an exploratory study carried out by Agency for Volunteer Service in 1981. The second session was a modified version of the student community service involvement survey which consisted of 25 items, describing the reasons for volunteering. The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristic and motivation of volunteers relating to sports activities in Hong Kong. |
