| Abstract | The Jilin PTA has worked out four major targets for the development of posts and telecommunications sector in 1997. They include construction on a priority basis of telecom basic network, new service networks, support networks and postal communications network. TS transmission network will be optimized. Efforts will be made to complete the construction of Jilin section of the optical trunk along the northern border. Optical transmission line from Changchun to Siping will be constructed. Microwave links in the eastern part of the province including those from Changchun to Yanji and from Changchun to Baishan will be equipped with SDH system. A table outlining the telecom development targets of some provinces in the period between year 1996 and 2000 is given in this article. |
