| Abstract | Owing to their limitations in mental abilities and in self expression, a lot of mentally handicapped people fail to protect themselves from discrimination and abuse, and are unable to describe clearly the ways in which they are being maltreated. The setting up of this working group is to further safeguard the rights of The Society of Homes for the Handicapped's (SHH) service users and to better equip SHH's colleagues with techniques in handling, following up and in preventing abuse of and discrimination against its clients. |
