| Abstract | The water-control project in Shandong Province to draw upon the water resources of the Yellow River for a reservoir near Qingdao to augment the city's water supply was a major construction item in the Seventh Five-Year Plan. The special communications network for the Yellow River-Qingdao water-control project is a digital microwave network of advanced technical level and has shown fine performance in more than a year's operation. This article introduces the structure of the network, its performance features and its management and development prospects. |
