| Abstract | Modern telecommunications technology and computer technology have been developing very rapidly in recent years, and the E-Mail system of new information processing is becoming widespread. The Beijing public E-Mail system (China Mail BJ) was imported from the United States Sprint and Tandem Limited in May 1992 and started running in October of the same year. Now there are 1,000 subscribers. This article briefly introduces the e-mail system, its basic features, the system configuration and service function, the communication ways between e-mail subscribers, the Chinese display and the future prospect of Beijing e-mail system. |
