| Abstract | The NIKE/HKSI Athlete of the Month Award recognises the performance of local athletes on a monthly basis. Winners receive a trophy, a cash prize of HK$5,000 and HK$3,000 of NIKE products. Windsurfer Lee Lai-shan received the NIKE/HKSI award for December 1995, February and March 1996, due to her outstanding displays in international competition. Another athlete who won the January 1996 award is the top squash player, Faheem Khan, who has excellent performance at the Asian Championships in Jordan. |
