Abstract | The Olympic Games represents the pinnacle for all athletes. Competing in an Olympics is a dream come true and winning a medal an unmatched experience. While sportsmen and women prepare painstakingly and exhaustively to take their place on the Olympic stage, nothing can really prepare them for the experience. Several Hong Kong Sport Institute Scholarship Athletes will be competing in their second Olympic Games in Atlanta and feel that knowing what awaits them inside the cauldron will work to their advantage. In this article, the windsurfer Lee Lai-shan, table-tennis player Chai Po-wa and badminton coach Chan Chi-choi talk about how they prepare for the Olympic Games in 1996. |
