| Abstract | The 1995 Hongkong Bank Foundation Coaching Awards Programme is the only programme that recognises the contribution of coaches to Hong Kong sport. The Awards are organised by the Coach Education Department of the Hong Kong Sport Institute (HKSI) on behalf of the Hong Kong Coaching Committee. Windsurfing coach Rene Appel, who coaches women's world number one Lee Lai-shan and Olympian Wong Tak-sum, won the Coach of the Year Award in the Senior Athletes, Individual Sport category. Sharing the honours with Appel were the HKSI's Head Table Tennis Coach Cheng Chung-yin and Assistant Squash Coach Tony Choi. |
