| Abstract | China's economic restructuring and opening up as well as the construction of a modernized national economy based on information will be speeded up further. This imposed higher requirements on the development of telecommunications. To meet the need brought about by domestic and international situation, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) has mapped out strategic goals for the development of telecommunications in the next 15 years. In this article, the author gives a few ideas on the development of PT science and technology in the Ninth Five-Year Plan period (1996-2000). |
