| Abstract | According to the Fixed Assets Investment Department of the State Statistical Bureau, increase margin of the total amount of fixed assets investment has shown a stable drop in the first half of 1996. With moderate control, the total amount of investment was kept on proper scale. An accumulated total of 55.5 billion RMB yuan were invested in 131 key projects of the State in January-June period, fulfilling 39.4% of the year's plan and 4.9 percentage points higher than the same period of 1995. Furthermore, power industry, raw material industry, chemical industry and telecommunications industry continued to maintain a fast growth. |
