| Abstract | Following the construction of digital mobile phone system, the China United Communications Company (UNICOM) launched construction of a radio paging system which will cover the entire country. On 18 October 1996, UNICOM radio paging station in Shanghai was put into operation. With both numeral and Chinese display and capable of both manual and automatic operation, UNICOM radio paging network will use unified special service numbers of "191" and "192" across the country. |
