| Abstract | A world renowned hypermarket chain, Carrefour Hypermarket, will open its first Hong Kong outlet in Heng Fa Chuen Shopping Centre by the end of 1996. The hypermarket will occupy a total net floor area of 39,000 square feet and will become the largest hypermarket in the Eastern District, benefiting not only the residents of Heng Fa Chuen, but also the shoppers in the nearby area. The Chairman of the MTR Corporation, Mr Jack C K So and the Chief Executive Officer (Asia) of Carrefour, Mr Gerard Clerc on 12 October 1996 signed the Lease for Carrefour Hypermarket at Heng Fa Chuen Shopping Centre. |
