| Abstract | Internet, its related services and technologies have constantly been at the center of attention in 1994 in the Information Technology (IT) field. Major corporate IT users and the investment community are placing some unprecedented trust on the promises, the potential business benefits and opportunities offered by the Internet related technologies. In 1993, Hong Kong has experienced the sudden explosion in the number of Internet Service Providers (ISP). Some of the largest local enterprises including the Hong Kong Telecom, are entering this business with substantial investment and commitment. China is taking a more cautious view in adopting this technology. |
