Abstract | Asia Television is preparing to invest more than HK$200 million in expanding production in Hong Kong and Beijing, with the aim of increasing local production by 40 per cent in 1997. The move is part of a series of initiatives from ATV, which is attempting to shrug off its second-place image to market leader Television Broadcasts (TVB). The expansion of production facilities is the first step in revamping the station's programming approach, with more series and locally-produced programmes tailor-made for Hong Kong audiences. |
