| Abstract | In November 1997 the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) will be hosting the General Assembly of the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO). The HKIE, when celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Engineering Society of Hong Kong, will also host the WFEO event on its 30th year of existence. WFEO is an Assembly of National Engineering Organizations of over 80 countries. It is a non-governmental organization, founded in Paris on 4 March 1968 under the sponsorship of UNESCO. Only one engineering organizaton per country is allowed and it must be multi-disciplinary within the engineering field. |
