| Abstract | The School Administration and Management System (SAMS) roll-out process, which takes about six to seven months' time to complete, includes hardware and system software's installation, training and data conversion. During the process, the school principal will have to plan, co-ordinate and monitor the tasks of data conversion, LAN (Local Area Network) and system software installation as well as SAMS initial setup. However, the school principal can appoint one or two senior teacher(s) as the System Administrator and/or the LAN Administrator to take up some responsibilities. This article provides the pre- and post-installation checklists covering the major areas for the school principal and/or the two Administrators to consider. |
