| Abstract | The merger of Bates and Saatchi & Saatchi in Japan has sparked speculation that the two agencies are on the verge of a partial merger throughout the rest of Asia in order to cut weighty regional overheads. The two agencies are in the process of merging in Japan, and the media departments of the two agencies in Hong Kong have already merged to form Zenith Asia. Pete Watkins of Saatchi has resigned to go into retreat in New Zealand, and Greater China boss Andrew Stanbridge has not had his contract renewed. |
