Article TitleRevenue Tower is not an ivory tower / Customer Service Manager, Inland Revenue Department.
Is Part OfThe Hong Kong accountant ; v.7, no.5, Sep/Oct 1996, p.76.
AbstractIn 1996, Inland Revenue Department adopted a new approach to help cope with the demands placed on their enquiry services following the bulk issue of returns. The approach had two components, namely, running tax seminars and putting on 'road shows' in community centres during April and May 1996. The tax seminars were directed at providing interested parties with some basic tax knowledge. Those invited included the personnel and accounting staff of employers, counter staff of the Home Affairs Office and assistants of Legislative, Urban and Regional Councillors. The road shows, or floating enquiry counters, were held in ten community centres in Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories. At the same time, the enquiry counters in Revenue Tower and their two sub-offices in Kowloon and Tsuen Wan were also open to the public.
