AbstractThe Hong Kong team returned from 1996's Culinary Olympics in Berlin in Germany, held in the second week of September 1996, with an unprecedented haul of medals. The Hong Kong National Chefs Team totally won three gold and one silver medals and were judged second runners-up or bronze medallists behind Switzerland and Norway in the 30-team competition for the overall performance. This was the first time that an Asian team had been placed in the top three in this prestigious event.
