AbstractRe-engineering is no longer too new, too radical, or too difficult. Re-engineering success stories follow a consistent pattern, involving quicker decisions, empowered workers, fewer hand-offs, and better customer service. Companies should study re-engineering successes and adopt strategies proven to work. By blending successful organizational models, business processes, and other solutions, companies can reduce the risk of re-engineering.
