| Abstract | Concomitant with the highly successful economic growth in Asia, corporate treasurers are increasingly confronted with the challenges of managing opportunities and risks in this diverse and ever changing environment. Consequently, they have to make difficult and complex decisions which include, among others, the design in financing structure, merger and acquisition, investment appraisals, divestment, capital market and funding, cash management, interest rate and currency rate risk management, pension fund management, tax management. The purpose of this article is to explore some of the recent trends in Asia financial markets and discuss their potential impact on such treasury decisions.
