| Abstract | China was among the countries that at first refused to sign restrictive textile trade agreements in consequence of Turkey's customs union with the European Union (EU). Then agreement was reached. The chairmen of the two delegations expressed satisfaction with this agreement. They also agreed to meet in September 1996 in Istanbul to negotiate quotas for silk goods. |
