Is Part OfShippers today ; v.19, no.5, Sep/Oct 1996, p.18-20, illus.
AbstractHong Kong is viewed as being behind in the Electronic Data Interchange (EPI) field, mainly because its closest rival in technology advancements in the region, Singapore, is said to have been nationwide EDI-proficient and has had a public network since 1989. Hong Kong's trading partners lead the demand for the territory to be electronically capable. This article is the profiles of four EDI developments on offer to the trading community in Hong Kong, namely Tradelink Electronic Document Services, the Hong Kong Article Numbering Association's (HKANA) EZ*Trade, CargoNet, and the Asian Sources Media Group (ASM) eTrade.
