| Abstract | Hong Kong's first entirely local performing arts festival organised by the Arts Centre in 1995 survived a mixed reception and has gathered enough momentum to develop into Festival Now 1996. The multidisciplinary festival, highlighting the talent and creativity of local artists, starts on 20 September 1996. Over six weeks it offers a range of film, video, literary and visual arts, a programme of performing arts entitled "The Daring Ones", and even a fashion show "Fashionably Chinese" curated by fashion designer William Tang. |
