| Abstract | In just two months, the World Monuments Fund has received commitments of $1.35 million to help rescue 34 sites on the first annual Monuments Watch List of 100 Endangered Sites. In Asia, American Express, the Fund's largest donator, has chosen the ancient Shang dynasty city of San Xing Dui in Sichuan Province, China, Jaisalmer Fort in Rajasthan, India, and Ayuttaya (the ancient capital) and other flooded sites along the Chao Praya River in Thailand as three of its grant recipients. |
