| Abstract | Sex education in Hong Kong is totally inadequate and radical measures need to be introduced to upgrade teaching standards in primary and secondary schools, says former legislator and Family Planning Association chief Peggy Lam. Of the 348 (out of 458) secondary schools that participated in the 1994 review undertaken by the Education Department, the majority cited a lack of teaching time and insufficient professional advice on sex as factors which hindered their teaching of sex education. |
