| Abstract | With plans underway to introduce its own accreditation system and professional examinations, by the year 2000 the accountancy profession in Hong Kong will no longer be dependent on Britain. On 31 May 1995 the Hong Kong Society of Accountants released a consultation paper entitled 'Accreditation of Professional Accountants in Hong Kong'. The consultation paper outlined the Society's plans to gain independence and these plans have gained overwhelming support. |
