| Abstract | Hong Kong-based Cheung Kong Holdings Ltd has begun acquiring a stake in Taiwan's largest maker of textile fibres, Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corporation (FCFC), it is reported. A senior official at FCFC has denied the reports however, saying that he is unaware of either purchases of FCFC stock by Cheung Kong or of talks between the companies. |
